Alsace is a unique corner of France known for its colourful half-timbered houses, ancient castles, and excellent wines. Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner, Muscat, and Pinot Gris are some of the grape varieties that grow here and are used to make a wide range of wines, primarily dry white ones. On this half-day tour, you'll drive along France's oldest wine route, which stretches 170 km from north to south of Alsace and visit a winery and a typical Alsace “caveau” where guided tasting tours will introduce you to the region’s most iconic wines. You will also have the opportunity to take a guided walking tour in the picturesque Alsatian village of Obernai, boasting scenic winding streets, beautiful period buildings with colourful glazed-tile roofs, and a buzzing central market square that hosts a popular Christmas market.
