Colmar hosts five distinct Christmas markets, each with its own character. The Place des Dominicains market stands in the shadow of a 14th-century church, while the Place de l'Ancienne Douane market occupies the square of the historic customs house. The indoor craft market in the Koïfhus, Colmar's 15th-century customs house, showcases local artisans continuing centuries-old traditions.
