Omaha and Gold Sectors Tour
Discover the emblematic places of the Overlord operation, US cemetery, Mulberry harbor, and more

Omaha and Gold Sectors Tour
Step onto the shores where history was made on this powerful half-day tour of the Normandy landing beaches. In just a few hours, you'll explore some of the most iconic and emotionally resonant sites of the D-Day landings and gain a deeper understanding of the Allied invasion that changed the course of World War II.

Your journey begins at Pointe du Hoc, where the U.S. 2nd Ranger Battalion scaled 100-foot cliffs under heavy fire to silence German artillery that threatened the success of the landings at Utah and Omaha Beaches. Walk among the bomb craters and ruined bunkers that still scar the landscape, a raw reminder of the bravery it took to take this strategic position.

Continue to the sands of Omaha Beach, where soldiers of the 1st and 29th U.S. Infantry Divisions faced harrowing resistance. Your guide will share moving accounts of the chaos, courage, and determination that unfolded on this now peaceful shoreline.

At Colleville-sur-Mer, visit the Normandy American Cemetery, the final resting place of 9,386 U.S. servicemen and women. Pause at the poignant Wall of the Missing, and take in the serenity of this sacred place overlooking the very beach where many of those remembered gave their lives.

Next, explore the well-preserved German gun battery at Longues-sur-Mer, part of Hitler’s formidable Atlantic Wall. Its original naval guns remain in place, offering a rare and striking glimpse into the German defenses encountered by the Allies on D-Day.

Finally, head to Arromanches-les-Bains, the site of the British Mulberry Harbour, an extraordinary feat of wartime engineering that allowed Allied forces to bring in reinforcements and supplies crucial to the liberation of Europe. See the remains of the artificial harbor still visible in the sea and hear how this innovation helped ensure the success of Operation Overlord.

Throughout the tour, your knowledgeable guide will provide compelling stories, historical context, and personal accounts that bring the past vividly to life.
