Accompanied by an expert local guide, you’ll start in Polvica and follow a scenic path through the 13 villages that make up the municipality of Tramonti, each with its own ancient church (hence the trail’s name). You’ll get to see idyllic mountain hamlets where rustic houses and ancient religious buildings ooze history, while quaint shops and wineries offer the chance to sample the local delicacies. After the hike, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in a traditional farmhouse where you’ll also get to meet a four-generation cheesemaker who’ll show you how mozzarella is made.
