Chianti Classico Wine Tour

Your guide will wait for you at 9.30 at the front of San Domenico Church in Siena. Heading north-east into the picturesque Chianti hills, you will be met with dense oak forests, cypress trees and luscious olive groves and vineyards. Making a stop beneath Castello di Brolio’s impressive walls, take a stroll through the vineyard and get a better look at the soil and vines with plenty opportunities for photos along the way. It was here in the 12th Century where Baron Bettino Ricasoli encouraged agriculture while experimenting with different grapes and blends. Hisrecipe would later launch world-renowned Chianti wines including their iconic straw flasks which are now obsolete! Wander through the castle gardens to learn more about its renowned produce before enjoying a first tasting of Black Rooster Chianti Classico at their cellar accompanied by a Tuscan lunch. After discovering another local winery, delve into their traditional cellars to gain insight on how folk live and work hereand sample some outstanding Chianti wines!
