Morning: Castello Monterinaldi – A Window to Chianti's Past

Your journey begins as your private driver collects you from Siena, transporting you through the picturesque Chianti countryside to the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Your destination is the renowned Castello Monterinaldi Winery, a historic estate dating back to 1010 AD.

Named after Count Gottifredo, the castle has endured centuries of conflict—from medieval battles to World War II—yet still stands proudly as the heart of the estate. Winemaking today takes place at the nearby Villa Pesanella, where generations of passion and tradition shape every bottle. Early Afternoon: Exploring Montefioralle

After lunch, your driver will take you to the nearby medieval village of Montefioralle. This tiny, perfectly preserved hamlet is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and is said to be the birthplace of Amerigo Vespucci, the famous explorer.

Take some time to wander the narrow, circular streets of this fortified village. Admire the ancient stone houses adorned with family crests, and soak in the authentic atmosphere of a place where time seems to stand still.

Late Afternoon: Fattoria di Vignamaggio 

Your final stop is the illustrious Fattoria di Vignamaggio, an avant-garde, organic farm and wine cellar of more than 600 years old. Vineyards, olive groves, vegetable gardens, and luxuriant fruit orchards cover more than 400 hectares of the Chianti Classico heartland. Not far from the Fattoria, Villa Vignamaggio stands out with a history dating back to the 14th century: it is said to be the birthplace of Lisa Gherardini, better known as the Mona Lisa, Leonardo da Vinci's most famous subject.
