The Wine Trail Of Etna North Slopes With Wine Tasting Lunch

We visit 2 different wineries on the slopes of the volcano from south to northern side. During the tour we explain specific characteristics of the terroir and the effect that the Mediterranean climate and the vicinity to the sea have on the cultivation of the grapes. First stop in the territory of Milo to visit one of the first wine producer of Etna bottles, their first bottle was made in 1899. We will visit the vines and old barrels within a tasting of 3 labels Etna bottles white, red and liqueur of Malvasia that they produce directly in Salina Island but also fresh orange pressed and Sicilian products. Then we continue to reach the territory of Viagrande where is located an historical boutique winery where the vines grow on dark volcanic field. We will restore walking on the middle of the vines before to taste 5 labels of wine and enjoy a home-made lunch served by the family.
